The fifth of the official TSR UK modules, this is a bit of a different one from previous installments. This is an adventure designed not for a party or even for a solo player, but for a one on one game with one DM and one player.

Designed specifically for rangers, Druids or monks, you can either use one of the pre-rolled characters or bring your own 1st level character to the game.

The story is also a bit different than usual, you and some NPCs get carried by Rocs to the peak of a mountain. From that mountain you can spot the titular Eye of the Serpent, a lush island at the bottom of the mountain. This is your destination. So the adventure is a descent from the top to the bottom, with a number of events happening along the way from the Roc nest to sea level. With some cool art and an interesting system of branching story paths, it’s worth seeking out.

  1. This is another where where I have no recollection of it at all.

    1. I think maybe some of the UK titles didn’t circulate as widely as the US ones, at least in the US.
