An issue which focuses on magic-users with a whole section entitled The Arcane Arts as the centerpiece of the magazine, this covers how to create a Mystic College as a home for all magic-users to be used in your adventures and campaigns, how to calculate the damage of magical flame and lightning and lastly what aims to be a new column for the magazine, Arcane Lore, listing new spells to add to your (A)D&D games.

Other than the major feature on magic, there are plenty of fun things to explore here. Ed Greenwood brings us incredibly detailed stuff on the world of the Forgotten Realms, as he usually does, with an article on the music of the Realms and we also get stuff for Oriental Adventures, how to make fantasy calendars, as well as how to keep a game going across the world before the Internet made that pretty easy.

There are also a bunch of cool adverts and art pieces, which I will show off tomorrow. This isn’t the most interesting issue of Dragon we ever came across, but it’s still a pretty good one, with some cool visuals thrown in.
