Notice Ed “Elminster” Greenwood’s name on the cover there? Yep, this means that we are moving quickly into a brave new world at TSR, the world where Forgotten Realms is going to become a central part of the game, at least of AD&D for now, novels are upcoming but so are campaign settings and modules and this is one of the first modules to be explicitly set in the Realms. 

If you look at the back cover you can see the Realms logo and in the interior the Bloodstone Barony is firmly placed within the Realms, doing some retconning of the previous modules in the Bloodstone series which were seemingly somewhere in Greyhawk as was most unlabeled AD&D content (unlike that bearing labels such as Dragonlance, for example). 

This is then a Forgotten Realms adventure but, more importantly, it’s a Battlesystem adventure. Most of the content in this module is about fighting battles with miniatures with a little dungeon thrown in for good measure.
