We come to the fifth issue of Dungeon magazine and, as usual, we mostly get a diverse collection of AD&D adventures. This time, however, there is one BECMI adventure in the mix, which isn’t much considering that the other six are for AD&D.

As usual the magazine aims to give a diverse set of adventures, from low to high level stuff and in a variety of settings, including an Oriental Adventures scenario with The Kappa of Pachee Bridge. The variety is also present in the mix of tones, from comedic to dead serious adventures there is something here for pretty much anyone to enjoy.

It’s a pity that both Dragon and Dungeon magazine are defunct at the moment, first becoming digital and eventually completely disappearing with only unorganized articles and an adventure here and there on the D&D website. Oh well. I wish I could still buy these. I’m probably just getting old.
