Another issue of Dungeon and another set of short adventures. Again, as in the previous issue, the focus is firmly on AD&D and this time the adventures skew towards lower levels, with one for first level characters, and others for characters levels 2-4, 3-5 and 6-9. In fact you could conceivably string them together and take a character all the way from levels 1-9 using only this issue.

This plan of stringing the adventures as a campaign wouldn’t be the easiest, however, as the themes of the adventures are all really varied, which makes for a more interesting magazine. Two adventures are pretty comical, Trouble at Grog’s, set in a half-ogre run tavern and the other adventure being Fluffy Goes to Heck, where you have to rescue a doggy from hell. Both of these rely mostly on comedy and that’s great.

The two other adventures are slightly more serious with Escape from the Tower of Midnight being the classic “players caught between warring guilds” theme and Kingdom in the Swamp having a more Gothic Horror theme. Come back tomorrow if you want to see the first pages of each of these adventures!
