The third issue of Dungeon magazine reinforces the growing centrality of the AD&D version of the game to TSR both as a company, but also to the more hardcore players, those who would go to the trouble of writing out a whole complex scenario for publication.

Therefore in this issue we have exclusively AD&D adventures, there is not a single one for any other game, even BECMI D&D. The issue includes four adventures for AD&D, each with different level and character requirements, and also with some interesting variety in terms of settings.

Adventures involve a more run of the mill Medieval setting in Falcon’s Peak, an freezing polar adventure in Blood on the Snow, a Sea set adventure with The Deadly Sea and lastly an epic magical, arcane, quest for higher level players in The Book with no End. A nice smorgasbord of adventures, even if they are all for the same game system. Next post (514.1) I’ll show the first pages of each adventure to give you a better notion of the authors and the adventures themselves.
