Well, that’s a lot of authors for a 50 page module! Only the second module for the Oriental Adventures setting, inspired by East Asian (mainly Japanese in this case) mythology, this includes details for a whole new province, Maeshi, where characters have to deal with warring clans and political intrigue.

More than that, characters have to eventually explore a large haunted castle in order to retrieve a sacred relic, and as you can imagine by the number of authors, the module consists of several interconnected adventures, which fortunately we pretty well integrated with each other, creating a coherent story from beginning to end.

Usually considered a pretty good module, this makes good use of the setting and also includes some pretty cool maps that we will look at in a future post! Although Oriental Adventures was never the most successful of settings, there are some pearls among the product line and this module is certainly one of those.
