Another issue of Dragon, and this one is full of goodies. The main attraction here is the redesign and update of the Witch NPC (which actually can be used as a player class with a minimum of retooling, although TSR is always sure to say they are not to be used as PCs because they might be imbalanced… but you do you). Another NPC is also explored here in the shape of the Elven Cavalier.

Other features include an article on creatures you can find in cemeteries and crypts, an article on cash in D&D, another on class training and one more on character creation tables, which is actually a useful little thing with the sole aim of putting together in one place the tables that are spread over a number of different sources, thanks Robert Kelk!

Another article covers different armor in monsters, and the Remorhaz gets the “Ecology of…” treatment by Kurt Martin and Ed Greenwood. Other than this there are a bunch of articles for other TSR games and some new adverts which I will show in post 497.1. The usual comics round out what is a pretty good issue.
