A bigger than usual issue of Dragon, not only is this an issue packed with good articles, it’s also one which, in the days before the internet, was particularly useful as it includes a detailed article index. So, you want to know which issue mentioned the Suel God Bralm? 92. In which issue Gygax discusses Conan? 36. And so forth. Invaluable stuff.

In terms of more usual articles there are also some goodies here. For example there’s a bestiary of Dinosaurs so you can use them in your adventures, complete with statblocks, an article on how to deal with mobs of lvl 0 NPCs in combat, like an angry torch and pitchfork crowd.

There’s also plenty of new items for DMs here, Ed Greenwood brings us a bunch of magical cloaks and Matt Bandy gives us a system for “partial armor” for AD&D, meaning what if your character only has a chestplate and gauntlets? Lastly there’s a review of a little computer game known as Rogue, the same that gave origin to all the “rogue-like” games that are still popular today and which by the time this magazine came out was already 6 years old!
