
So you’ve reached some ludicrous level using the Master Rules of D&D (level 36) and there is nowhere else to go. You are more powerful than any other living being and there is nothing left to do in this mortal realm… so what’s the next step? Become a God.

The Immortals Rules, the culmination of the BECMI system of Basic D&D, is essentially a whole different game into which you transport your existing characters into a whole new plane of existence and you rule over the universe as a whole different type of being.

Almost unrecognizable as being part of D&D, it really feels like a new game. The box set came with a booklet with instructions for Players, mainly concerned with how to translate your character to this new system, and a booklet for DMs, with advice on how to create campaigns for Immortals and so on.
