So, as we saw in a previous post this year of 1986 Dragon magazine skipped the special April Fool’s Day issue, Polyhedron, however went all out on the funny stuff to commemorate the occasion, however in this issue.

With a Tom Wham cover featuring a cross section of a wizard’s tower being attacked by Tiamat and featuring a number of amusing vignettes, the tone is set for the shenanigans that go on inside the magazine.

With a number of tongue in cheek articles including the “Ecology of the Tiamat” (there are now more than one), dungeon songs and a humorous tale by Roger E. Moore, the centrepiece of the issue is The Camel’s Nose, a funny little adventure module. Come back tomorrow for a closer look at that one!
