Essentially a compilation of the 4 modules that came out at the start of the decade as A1 to A4, these are revised by David Cook and brought together into one massive volume running to 130 pages.

There is also an effort here to connect this adventure as the continuation of The Temple of Elemental Evil, which was also a massive supermodule, including the old Village of Hommlet module as well.

With these two modules together you are supposed to take your characters from level 1 all the way to 11, which is pretty cool. You can scroll back in this page all the way to 1980 and 1981 to see the original appreciations of the 4 modules that compose this! Have fun!

  1. A1 was the first stand-alone module I ever purchased ( already having B2 from the Holmes boxed set and X1 from the Expert set). That said, I’ve never run the whole series. I’ve got all of the PDFs, will have to give it a spin at some point.
