A module that uses both the Expert Dungeons & Dragons Rules and the Battlesystem tabletop wargaming rules, this is a kind of loose follow up to the adventures X4 and X5, Master of the Desert Nomads and Temple of Death respectively, as the master of the nomads returns as the big bad and the players take the lead in the war against him.

The main purpose of the module is to build an alliance of forces to take to the battlefield and defeat the master once and for all. This will have wide-ranging consequences for what was then known as “the known world” and which we know better now as Mystara. In fact the consequences are so wide-ranging that this module had to be retconned later on to be set 200 years in the future.

A complex module which, as you can see, has some mindboggling diagrams for the DM to be able to keep everything straight, this is a module with an epic scope and huge consequences that actually feels a bit too momentous for an Expert set, making more sense in the Companion or Master sets, particularly if you want to tie this up to X4 and X5, as having three modules all within the expert levels would be a bit too much and your characters should have leveled out of Expert range by this time.
