Another episode of the Cartoon series and this time we get some time travelly, cross universe, goodness with Venger showing himself as a Nazi. In fact, Venger has a plan to bring both a modern day (1980s, I mean) fighter plane and a World War II nazi plane into the world of D&D, so as to give the nazis the superior technology which would allow them to win the war back in out world and therefore stop the kids from being born at all in out universe.

What Venger didn’t count on was transporting a “nice nazi” into his world, who quickly strikes up a friendship with the party of kids and sees his new condition as a way to start his life afresh. Captured by Venger he does go along with his plan, only to at the end return to WWII in order to help defeat Hitler.

Not really an episode that progresses that story much further or that really explores the world of D&D, it’s still an interesting one in terms of the extent to which Venger will go to defeat the kids and retrieve their magical weapons. Straight up Nazi supporter, not nice Venger. The German pilot is called Josef Muller which was the name of a couple of germans who resisted against the Nazis (both related to the Catholic Church) but none of them was in the Luftwaffe, so they don’t really match, even if the episode gives us to understand that this was an actual historical character that helped defeat Hitler.
