By its 28th issue, the TSR UK house publication seems to be moving away from centering (A)D&D in its coverage and starts branching out to other TTRPGs, of course maintaining a focus on those published by TSR, but not only. In fact there are quite a number of pages dedicated or usable by players of competing house Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu.

So, this is a Special “Pulps” issue, in fact the place where you see that notice on the cover used to be the place where it said this was a magazine for “Dungeons & Dragons players”. As a Pulps issue it covers some traditional adventuring set in the 1920s and 1930s, the heyday of Pulp Magazines before the dominance of comic books. There’s a whole article by Paul Manson on the Pulps, another on the Cthulhu Mythos and an adventure for players of 20s and 30s set games, from TSR’s Gangbusters and Indiana Jones, to Call of Cthulhu and Daredevils.

But of course there’s still plenty of (A)D&D content, one article tries to solve the determination of Initiative order in the game, another cover Lycanthropy and the usual Pelinore Campaign Setting content is also included here, this time covering the Gods of this Imagine exclusive D&D setting.
