The last of the D&D Cartoon inspired gamebooks features Diana the Acrobat as the remaining character to focus the book around and makes her our point-of-view character as we play through the book.

A bit less original than previous installments because it uses less visual games and so forth, it does have a distinguishing feature for the not very diverse mid 80s. This is, as far as I can recall, the first D&D product to feature a non-white human character as the focus of the story, there had already been some women characters in Endless Quest or in all of the HeartQuest series, but this marks a first for an African-American character like Diana. (In case you are not familiar with the series, the group is made up of American kids transported into a fantasy world).

Unfortunately, as a story this is nothing to write home about. Venger is strangely absent from this one and you get to meet Banshees, Wizards and Pegasi as you once again try to save your friends from certain doom. The plot is pretty straightforward, making this another particularly easy gamebook to finish that would only be of interest to pretty young kids.
