The second in the short-lived Crimson Crystal series, this one is penned by Roger E. Moore, someone you’d be very familiar with if you’ve been following Dragon magazine since its start, as he was one of the most prolific, and best, article writers for that publication, together with Ed Greenwood.
This is another volume I couldn’t get my hands on (I will be able to give a better review for the next one which I can actually read), but a synopsis I found online tells me that you play a halfling who needs to save a pegasus from an evil witch. Reviews at gamebook.org also let us know that although the story is pretty good, the “Crimson Crystal” gimmick with the red cellophane is pretty useless and no more than a gimmick. So, there’s that. Anyway I leave you with the pretty great Clyde Caldwell cover, I particularly like the Drow witch there at the back.
