
The Brits seemed to have a thing for creating adventure modules set in unusual places. It started out back in 1981 with the U1: Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh module and the U series with its focus on underwater fighting, the first underwater modules, and now 4 years later other Brits come up with a module that is mainly set in the air, with plenty of aerial combat.

This makes the module fun and original, but also not really appropriate for novice players. The aerial setting of the adventure is pretty demanding in terms of combat and movement rules, so this is really best for an experienced DM and party. This makes perfect sense because it is the kind of weird adventure that you’d like to play as a way to break the monotony if you are a long time player.


In terms of story, the party finds an Aarakocra envoy who is recruiting adventurers to help defeat an “evil” Cloud Giant… Why he is looking for earthbound adventurers is anyone’s guess, but there is plenty of lore to flesh out the story and new flying species, flying vehicles and a whole Cloud Giant castle to explore at the end. Fun stuff.
