Another in the series of competitive modules in the C series, this one is more forgiving than those in previous iterations of the series, but it still meant to evaluate players in a competitive context, so it is harder than the run of the mill non-competitive module.

This module and the following C5 module are actually reprints of modules that were previously only available to members of the RPGA competitive association, and this module compiles RPGA 3 and RPGA4, which I’ve covered previously in entries 201 and 206, respectively, so you can go back and look at those for further details.

This compilation does bring us a load of new art and a new cover by the late, great, Keith Parkinson one of the rising stars of the TSR stable of illustrators at this time. The main plot goes like this: you are asked by the Brotherhood of Brie (not cheese related) to fulfill a prophecy and find a long lost king to replace the floundering ruling High Council of Pelham. So your party goes on a mission to replace a council with an autocratic absolute ruler… a bit of an ethical conundrum if you ask me. This module and the next one (C5) would make up the story of The Prophecy of Brie.
