We come to the end of 1984 with this unique little module, which is also the end of the O series of modules. The previous O module, O1: The Gem and the Staff, was also a one-on-one module. O2, however, is a British production (look at the Union Jack up there in the corner) and a completely independent story from O1.

The idea of one-on-one modules is actually pretty great and I wish there were more of those around. It avoids the need for a large party, dodges scheduling conflicts and is a great way to introduce a friend to the basics of the game without needing much setup.

In this module the player takes on the role of a 7th level Elf (remember that Elf was a class in itself in D&D) who, coming back to their hometown, finds it destroyed and their family killed. The mission then is a revenge mission to find what happened and get the culprits, but it does include some less straightforward content, with some rich lore and an attempt to bring back a legendary Elven hero to help in the fight. Some good art in the module and this would have been a pretty fun module to run one on one.
