The 20th issue of the RPGA newsletter has some interesting articles, three of which stand out particularly in what relates to D&D. The first focuses on the Druid class, with an archetypal Druid and a bunch of sample characters for players to look at.

The second article is the central adventure module, another version of Bigby’s Tomb,  created by Frank Mentzer for the Winter Fantasy convention of 1984. A new module in this version and a further insight into one of the iconic characters of early D&D, Mordenkainen’s assistant, Bigby.

Lastly there is a three page article on “Women in D&D”, this time by Roger Moore, these always fun articles which invariably read dated to our 40 years in the future eyes. Here Moore (a guy) gives advice on how women are to avoid sexual harassment, assholish players and how to be taken seriously by male players… curiously he is mute on how men should behave at a table or the DMs responsibility in creating a welcome environment for all players. It’s a bit of a “don’t wear short skirts” article, well intentioned but wrong-headed.
