The direct continuation of UK2: The Sentinel, this is a Greyhawk module that makes little sense on its own, even though there, as usual, instructions for giving it a quick start to get the players up to speed with what is going on. Basically doing a kind of quick version of UK2, by making the characters find the sentinel, the good-aligned sentient glove that hates the evil-aligned Gauntlet.

So, starting off you will in any event have the Sentinel with you and have as your mission the destruction of its nemesis the Gauntlet. TheGauntlet has a lot of similarities with the One Ring, and it’s hard not to see parallels. In this case it has been picked up by an Ogrillon that is now under the Gauntlet’s influence and doing its bidding, mainly trying to find a more powerful host for the glove than the strong but dull Ogrillon. The characters are guided by the Sentinel to the town of Adlerweg, which is being besieged by Fire Giants and where most of the action is going to take place. 

As a module it looks pretty cool, but really only half a thing, with UK2 pretty much a prerequisite for this adventure, the art by Pete Young is pretty grotesque, but in a way which I quite enjoy, with a real old-school feel to it and a griminess that is characteristic of UK products in a way which was absent from the more polished US productions of this time.
