The 15th book in the Endless Quest series follows the main character, Treon, a prince of a besieged kingdom as he goes out with his elven tutor Rynath to find some help to regain the safety of the kingdom of Grendopolan and defeat the armies of the Crimson Wizard.

As you can see from the title, Dragons come into it as well. in fact as you start off you reach a town where a mysterious woman gives you the option to buy either a book of spells or a ring with a dragon on it. Pretty much whatever you choose you will be able to access both which will give you access to dragons, good ones, bad ones or even turn the player into a dragon. After this the book takes the form of a kind of strategic adventure where you have to pick and choose how to confront the Crimson Wizard’s army and how you defend your family. Your choices determine the ending.

With a cover by Elmore, which is unfortunately not an original one, being cropped from the cover of The Best of Dragon Magazine Vol. 3, it’s still a fun little book. Little is known of John Kendall, the author as well, although he did contribute to TSR’s Fantasy Forest series of gamebooks.
