Here’s a strange little item, not exactly an accessory or an adventure module this is a bit of a hybrid. Designed for both Basic and Expert levels of D&D this includes a “combat shield” which basically means combat tables for a DM screen but adds a little adventure that you can use to test the screen.

The adventure really is “mini”, entitled “The Treasure of the Hideous One” and written by David Cook, it basically gives the DM four possible treasures and a bunch of encounters that the party can have to retrieve one or more of them. 

For such a small adventure there is quite a bit of lore for the Mystara setting, however, as can be seen by the long and tiny-printed veteran letter that clues the characters in to the lost treasure. Fun little 2 in 1 item!
