Closing out the month of October 1983, we get the seventh episode of the animated series, this time introducing us to Lukyon, a powerful wizard that can help the characters get back to their (our) world, if only they can figure out how to deal with him.

This time the episode is written by Steve Gerber, famous comic book writer and creator of one of the weirdest heroes in the Marvel universe: Howard the Duck. It’s really interesting to see how the series attracted some great talent in the script department as well as in the animation provided by Japanese animation veterans Toei Studios. 

As usual here we get some new monsters and allies introduced, and again the presence of zombies (see the second clip above) is creepy as hell. It’s the second time Zombies show up in the series and they never cease to make my skin crawl, which is exactly their point. Venger is as evil as ever and the episode is, as usual, great fun!
