Another episode of the D&D animated series, and this one is focused around Eric, the Cavalier and also the asshole of the gang, a rich kid who always thinks he knows best, bad things keep happening to him and he kind of deserves all of it. It’s funny that the rest of the party also seem to agree and take great delight in his suffering… hard not to sympathise.

In this episode, due to his usual arrogance, Eric gets transformed into a Bogbeast, a kind of ugly but inoffensive swamp creature, to the amusement of everyone else. Going in search of the bogbeasts in order to cure his malady, they discover a group of good  and slightly cowardly monsters under the yoke of an evil ogre.

In the end it all gets solved for the best, of course, and even though the party discovers the way back to our world, they end up back in fantasy land, oh well. As usual there is a smattering of other monsters in the episode, such as the cool colossal metal golem that I added a clip of above. It’s also fun to see how whoever made the Bogbeasts voice is clearly doing their best Frank Oz as Yoda impression, which makes sense for green people who live in swamps.
