With a great Clyde Caldwell cover this is a particularly good issue for anyone interested in Greyhawk as it has a couple of good articles on heroes and gods of that specific universe, both written by Gygax, of course, one is simply the continuation of the recurring column covering the gods of Greyhawk, while another one expands that idea to cover some near godlike heroes of Oerth, which Gygax calls Quasi-Deities or Hero-Deities, basically the result of really high level player characters achieving godlike status.

Other articles on AD&D include Gygax’s look at new Druid spells in his From the Sorceror’s Scroll column, including such classics as Goodberry. Bruce Humphrey gives us an article aimed at DMs on how to make monsters smarter, or at least appropriate to their intelligence level, rather than just being sacks of hit points for players to hit.

On a more technical side Ronald Hall brings us an article on Attack Priority, attempting to create a more logical initiative system for AD&D, which still feels overly complicated by adding weapons speed rules and so forth, with pages and pages of tables for speed modifiers… it really isn’t better than the system already in place.
