The 10th newsletter of the RPGA comes out with it’s regular coverage of various TSR games with a lot of AD&D and D&D content as well as some stuff which isn’t system specific. The first of these is Frank Mentzer’s guide to mapping dungeons in Mapping from Square One, directly followed by his Notes for the Dungeon Master column with more sage advice on how to deal with common DM problems, this time on how to face Gods with your party of players. Further on in the issue Mentzer brings us another instance of the Spelling Bee column, this time covering spell coordination between several players.

After a pretty long hiatus the “Basically Speaking” column is back, specifically covering Basic D&D, this time explaining some of the concepts in the game, such as the difference between hit points and hit die as well as defining movement of time. Lastly Mary Kirchoff brings us the new column “Under Construction” where she gives us a single dungeon room, which with each issue adding to the dungeon will eventually give us a complete place.

Towards the end of the newsletter we get the usual gift catalogue and also a pretty useful listing of all D&D and AD&D modules released and upcoming with some info on them. A pretty invaluable table for players and collectors of the time.
