The RPGA newsletter returns with the second half of the Mike Carr interview as its centrepiece, mainly focused on his aerial combat game Fight in the Skies and the spy game Top Secret, both of which were published by TSR.

So there is comparably little D&D material in this issue, stretching only to 16 pages and featuring other TSR games, which means that most AD&D material is relegated to the regular columns such as “Notes for the Dungeon Master” and “Spelling Bee”, both by Frank Mentzer which had by now stepped down as editor of Polyhedron to go work full time on the upcoming Basic D&D sets.

This issue Spelling Bee concerns itself with spell components and how they can be used and procured in the world as well as this can enhance the storytelling and roleplay qualities of the game, while allowing the DM to curb some of the more abusive spell use.
