With a cover by Larry Elmore, the fourth issue of Polyhedron has as a centerpiece, as usual for the first issues of the magazine, a large interview. This month we have Jake Jaquet, publisher and former editor of Dragon magazine and one of the creators of Gamma World.

Most of the questions in the interview are about Gamma World, but there are also some about joining TSR and how he got his position in Dragon magazine which are of general interest for D&D fans. Added to this there are editorials by Don Turnbull giving us the UK perspective on D&D as well as a new column, “Basically Speaking” dedicated exclusively to Basic D&D.

Finally, what is quickly becoming my favorite column in Polyhedron, we have Spelling Bee, covering three spells in this issue, Magic Missile, Fireball and Lightning Bolt with helpful diagrams about how they work.
