The first Module in the R series, a series of modules created by the RPGA as a way to publish competitive play modules, it’s also a historically important module for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it has probably the first mention of the word THACO (with an O instead of a 0) as an acronym for To Hit Armor Class 0, one of the most famous concepts in the first and second editions of AD&D, renowned for being counterintuitive and probably the biggest hurdle for new players to jump over when learning the game. Of course the only thing new here is the acronym as the concept of descending armor classes had been a thing since Original D&D.

Another first here is what I think is the first non-binary character in D&D. Maybe I missed one before, but one of the pre-rolled characters here, a Halfling Fighter/Thief is of indeterminate gender, which is pretty cool.

The module itself is a fun-house kind of module where each room has a different challenge for characters to overcome while searching for five potions of Silver Dragon control to bring back to Falx, a Silver Dragon who is also the nephew of Bahamut. Each time the party comes out of the dungeon with a potion, Falx will give them a cool magic item, so characters keep going in and out to find potions and return them until they get all five. That’s it, that’s the whole plot.
