The second issue of the then quarterly Polyhedron comes out in the Fall of 1981 and features as its main AD&D content the conclusion of the interview with Gary Gygax that had started in the first issue. Here Gygax talks about his plans for the future at the time, about the idea for a D&D movie and how it hit a snag but they weren’t ready to drop the idea (it would take a while for it to hit the big screens in 2000 with that really bad movie starring Jeremy Irons).

We also get letter columns, rules questions being answered and content for other games by TSR. Most useful is the columns by Jean Wells on how to make new monsters for Basic D&D, as that game really didn’t have much variety (if we think that the Monster Manual and Fiend Folio were directed to AD&D and there was no equivalent for D&D). We also get some tips for DMs and the final page of the 16 page magazine covers the RPGA tournament system.
