Finally! A couple of months after the release of A3 and A4 we get A2! Part of the A1-4 series, it can be used as the second module of the campaign, played on its own or just skipped entirely as it isn’t hard to connect A1 and A3. In fact, in its origins as part of tournament play A1 and A2 were both first round adventures, so people wouldn’t actually play them both.

The adventure starts off (if you are playing the home game rather than a tournament) where A1 ends, with you getting info on another Slaver stronghold and travelling there. Of course you could just get the info on the stronghold in A3 and skip this entirely. However, this is a pretty good adventure and worth the wait. It’s denser than other modules in the series, stretching to 40 pages with very little in terms of illustration, but it is also populated with a bunch of interesting side-characters and villains. Certainly much better in this respect than A1 was, there’s a lot more plot and cool NPCs to fight or ally with.

This adventure also introduced some classic monsters, foremost among them the Cloaker, but also Phantoms, Haunts and Boggles. Always fun to get some first appearances by creatures that will have a long history in the game. Worth the wait!
