The two most famous TSR magazines to a general public are undoubtedly Dragon and later on Dungeon, however we also head Polyhedron, the RPGA (Role Playing Game Association) official magazine. The RPGA was the organized play arm of TSR, founded by Frank Mentzer who is also the editor of this issue (and the next three). While the RPGA would last until 2014, this magazine would go on until 2004.

This would, for most readers, come as a perk of their membership to the RPGA and often it was the only way to actually obtain the magazine. Later on it would be bundled for a while with Dungeon magazine, but that was a short-lived experiment. As one can imagine the fact that this was a subscription only magazine oriented to members of the RPGA, makes this magazine a more “inside baseball” kind of affair. Which is fine and would also liberate Dragon to become increasingly directed to more casual players and hobbyists, instead of being of interest only to DMs.

This issue starts out with answers to technical rules questions on AD&D and the first part of a three part interview with Gary Gygax on the origins of D&D. The magazine goes on to cover other TSR games like Boot Hill, Gamma World and The Fight in the Skies, closing out its 16 pages with a full page comic by Tom Wham, Rocksnoz.
