A really long issue, this one, over 90 pages, but it’s also the special humor issue that was quickly becoming an April tradition for Dragon magazine, so you have within this issue 48 1/2, which basically consists of spoof articles and columns. The highlight there goes to a comic that includes all the characters from Fineous Fingers, Wormy, Pinsom and Jasmine meeting up.

However, the rest of the magazine has some serious contributions to AD&D with a long feature on Underwater Adventuring, giving a lot more detail than the rulebooks on how to process that kind of adventure, a really long article on Druids and their place in Dungeons rather than just wilderness, an opinion piece on how to choose your DM, another long article on the use of Mules and an Instant Adventure randomizer.

Leomund’s Tiny Hut covers, at length, how to design adventures appropriate to any level of adventurer, how to calculate how many monsters and their challenge level to party level and number of PCs. This is quite useful stuff and it goes on for 7 pages, being actually pretty comprehensive stuff.  That’s one thing noticeable about this issue, the articles are getting longer and going more in depth as Dragon goes on.
