A good issue that is particularly interesting if you are into the games and career of TSR member and game designer Tom Wham, who is the real star of this issue, with a long article about him, a game and expansion kit for his quirky Awful Green Things game as well as a whole new Runngus Game. I am not particularly interested in this stuff, although I recognize its originality and the fun concepts behind it.

Moving on to more D&D and AD&D stuff, you get some articles about such stuff as setting up duels in the game, how to make funerals in appropriate fashion for both PCs and NPCs, creating “throwable” weapons, Molotov Cocktail style and a new take on the Turn Undead feature so that the Undead can get an even break, as it was slightly overpowered then.

You also get all the usual columns, with the exception of Gygax’s From the Sorcerer’s Scroll being absent, and you get a feature on new company West End Games as well as a cutting edge article on programming in BASIC (ooooh computers!).
