
A tournament module for WinterCon VII, this would later be released in the 80s as part of The Gem and the Staff (O1) module. I did not have access to the adventure itself but I have the cover and a page of “notes”, meaning a kind of introduction to the adventure and the logic behind it.

The idea is, then, to test individual players in a tournament setting in a very short, half-hour, adventure. So this is a module for 2 players, one being the DM and the other the adventurer to be tested. The idea was to find a way to test players that would be fairer than having a good player in a bad party or a bad player in a good party, either being dragged down by the other players or coasting through the game.
